This male red-winged blackbird is looking down at a female building a nest among the cattails. From the boardwalk, in the Nature Preserve at Kensington Metro Park, Milford, MI USA, you can see dozens of "nest watchers", all day long in the Spring. Every once in a while, you can see the females flying around looking for more nest building material.
